Thank you for visiting the Lowndes County (Georgia) Board of Education (the "DISTRICT") School Jobs Portal (the "Portal"). Your privacy is important to us. The Information We Collect Using the Portal, you can apply for current and future employment with the member school district(s), subscribe to email alerts for future postings, and upload files for review. The types of personally identifiable information that may be collected at these pages include: name, Social Security Number, contact information, employment history, educational pursuits, skills, experiences, and other information about your interests, goals, and professional attitudes. In most cases, only persons who provide us with the requested personally identifiable information will be considered for employment with the district. We also may collect certain non-personally identifiable information when you visit the Portal, such as the type of browser you are using (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer), the type of operating system you are using (e.g., Windows XP or Mac OSX), and the domain name of your Internet service provider (e.g., America Online, Earthlink, etc.). How We Use the Information It is the expressed intention of the District to use the information you provide for the sole purpose of evaluating your qualifications for a given position; to respond to your inquiries about our district; to fulfill your request to be notified when a new position is posted that matches your preferences; to confirm successful submission of job postings; to provide you with Username and Password reminders at your request; to notify you about new features on the Portal; to request your feedback on our website and your experience with the Portal; to notify you about important happenings within our district; and to request reference, credential, and criminal background checks. The information you provide, including any files which you upload for review, may be distributed throughout the district managers for these purposes, and may be maintained in machine readable (electronic) or printed form. We strive to maintain confidentiality in all matters of the information we collect through the Portal. We sometimes use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site and to enable us to personalize your Portal experience. We also may use this information in aggregate to analyze site usage and performance. Cookies are text files recorded by your computer to store your preferences and to keep your information separate from other Portal users.
